Omarchy 4.6 is already far along too. And this one won't take as long to drop. We'll flesh out the entire Snapdragon line-up. Perfect the NVIDIA N1x machines. Out-of-the-box local AI. And hopefully finish Omarchy Kids and some of the other promises that weren't ready for 4.5.

Omarchy just got enormously, awesomely, fantastically better! And now you can run it on half of the M-chip Macs out there plus the MacBook Neo. Oh, and traditional desktop mode if you can't hang with tiling. WE ARE FIXING EVERYTHING! 🤘

After 20 years of being an Apple superfan, I made the full switch to @omarchy Linux. It has now been my sole setup for three months. Never going back. Omarchy feels like a glimpse of the future. With AI, software is now free to write. It doesn't have to be one-size-fits-all anymore. It's now possible for your operating system to mold itself on-the-fly to your individual use cases and preferences. All you should ever have to do is ask it to do that for you. Omarchy is the only serious effort fully embracing AI and on a sprint to make that vision real. Not to mention, this thing is fucking beautiful. @dhh + team + community really cooked here. And sure, Apple products are also still beautiful. There's no denying that, but once you glimpse the world beyond, you will never again unsee the soft oppressiveness of their walled garden. Apple's ecosystem is governed by a brand of paternalism that doesn't trust you to handle your own machine. It believes that you will helplessly hurt yourself if—God forbid—you choose to change anything about how it works. So you can't. They won't let you. And that was maybe fine back when Apple was an innovative company. At least the choices that they forced on you were good and on the cutting edge. Today, it just means that you're forever stuck with Siri. So come join the movement 🚀

Omarchy keeps making friends because magical things happen when you embrace the future with gusto, disregard the naysayers, and just KEEP FIXING EVERYTHING.

Omarchy 4.5 will ship with full compatibility for M1, M2, M3, and Neo! Incredible achievement from the Omarchy M team. The installer makes this so smooth, the dual boot makes it a no brainer. Apple hardware liberated. M4-6 on the way. WE CAN FIX EVERYTHING!

Beautiful day for a big Omarchy release!

It was great to see so many Omarchy users at Fireworks Forge today, but it was especially great to meet turbo install champion @AnushElangovan in person. He even brought a gift! The insane 192GB AMD 495+ HP monster machine 🤩

Superwhisper is shipping as the default dictation setup in Omarchy 4.5. The free 10k word cloud option means you can get started without even having to download a model. Then you can switch to local-model dictation later if you like. It's so good!

Agentic, exploratory testing is so obviously the future. Love how we're pushing this envelope with Omarchy. Plan is to be able to fully automate the flow from agentic bug fixes -> agentic PRs -> agentic QA -> agentic release.

I'm so proud of how the Omarchy community welcomes new members. People are just genuinely excited to help others get more out of their machines and discover our agentic OS. We can fix everything, even the unfriendly RTFM Linux culture!

I knew we could unlock much better performance from the vintage macs by running Omarchy on them, but I didn't realize it was possible with the M chip generation too! So cool.
